Bir is a picturesque town located in the Kangra valley of Himachal Pradesh popular for its natural beauty, unique Tibetan culture and Meditation studies.

Billing, a valley 14 kms north of Bir, is famous for its world-class facilities for adventure sports such as paragliding, hand-gliding, trekking and camping.

Bir Billing is a Paragliding destination in the heart of Himalaya’s hosted Paragliding World cup in 2015, was “First Paragliding World Cup of India. It is about 50 kilometres to Dharamshala which take a four-hour car ride.

Spread over vast estates of tea gardens, Bir has a Tibetan Monasteries and a slowly growing international settlement of adventure enthusiasts and philosophy students.

Bir is not directly connected by Flights or Rail.  Ahju railway station is the nearest railway staion and nearest Airport is Kangra airport in Gaggal, Dharamshala.  It is well connected by different parts of India thorugh roads. How to reach Bir Billing by Train

 There is no direct rail connectivity to Bir. Ahju is closest Railway station to Bir which lies on the narrow-gauge line. A toy train runs from Pathankot to Ahju trice a day.

The nearest broad-gauge station is in Pathankot, which is located 112 km. from Bir. From there, you can easily hire a taxi or get direct bus to Bir. 

How to reach Bir Billing by Road

There are regular bus services from Delhi, Shimla, Dharamshala and other major North Indian cities to Bir on a daily basis, whether day or night.  You can also get shared taxis or for Bir.
