You can begin the trek from McLeodganj or Dharamkot. The 7 KMS trail from Dharamkot takes you spectacular vistas of the valley, Galu Devi Temple and bird’s eye view Dharamsala Cricket stadium.
After a few steep paths through the forest, you will reach the lush green meadows of Triund Top. The views of the snow-covered mountains so close will make your exhaustion go away. Then you can further to Laka Got to get more panoramic beautiful views of the Kangra Valley.
Night camping at Triund top will be one of the marvellous experiences you will ever have. Sleep under the blanket of a starry sky and admire the inky blue sky which is a rare sight in the cities.

Popular as ‘Little Lhasa’ and home to the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, Mcleod Ganj is a beautiful town nestled near Dharamsala which has beautiful blend of Tibetan and British culture. Few of the most prestigious and religiously significant monasteries in India are situated in Mcleod Ganj such as Namgyal Monastery and Tsuglagkhang, where the spiritual leader Dalai Lama lives.

How to Reach Mcleodganj
By Air
Gaggal Airport is the nearest airport to Mcleodganj. But there are very limited daily flights to Mcleodganj from other cities. Therefore, IGI Airport, Delhi, is the closest and significant airport to Mcleodganj. You can take a flight till Delhi and then travel to Mcleodganj by bus or car.
By Road
There are number of state government and private buses connect Mcleodganj with various cities of north India such as Delhi, Chandigarh, Dharamshala etc. on a regular basis. You can easily board a bus till Mcleodganj bus stand.
By Rail
Pathankot Railway Station is the nearest railway Station to Mcleodganj which is located at 90 Km far away from here. It is well connected by rail route from apart of country. From Pathankot, you can hire Taxis or buses to reach Mcloead Ganj as per your budget and convenience.
