Winter Spiti Expedition
Day 0: Delhi to Shimla
– Rendezvous at the common pick up point for the trip
– Depart from Delhi in evening.
– Overnight journey in Volvo/ AC Tempo Traveller/ SUV.
Day 1 (230 km): Shimla – Chitkul/Kalpa
– After reaching Shimla, the queen of hills, we will travel to Kalpa/Chitkul. Kalpa is the capital of Kinnaur region.
– We will be driving through one of the most dramatic views of the unseen world.
– Have a sumptuous dinner besides bonfire. – Overnight stay at Kalpa/Chitkul.
Day 2 (160 km): Kalpa – Giu – Tabo
– After breakfast, we will travel to Giu.
– Giu Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries of Spiti and still has a 800 year old mummy of a monk.
– Tabo is a small village located at Indo- China Border.
– Experience the 360 view of mountain range overlooked by half frozen spiti river.
– Overnight stay at Tabo.
Day 3 (130 km): Tabo- Pin Valley – Kaza
– After breakfast, we will leave for Kaza, the capital of Spiti Valley.
– During the journey, get confronted to Pin valley National Park, which is home to magnificent flora and fauna of high Himalayas.
– Check-in to hotel at Kaza.
– Explore local town and get to know the local culture.
Day 4 (60 km): Kaza-Langza-Komik-Hikkim-Kaza
– Today visit the road less travelled or offbeat places near Kaza.
– Great view of Chau Chau kang Nelda peak from Langza.
– Statue of Buddha near Langza looking down the valley.
– The Tanggyud monastery at Komik is the highest monastery of Spiti.
– Later, drive to Hikkim where you could get a chance to send postcards from the World’s highest post office.
-Overnight stay at Kaza.
Day 5 (45 km): Kaza-Ki-Kibber-Chicham-Kaza
– Visit the famous Ki Monastery.
– Enjoy the scenic drive of entire Spiti Valley between Losar and kaza at an easy pace. – Visit Chicham Brdige, the Asia’s highest suspension bridge.
Day 6 (200 km) : Kaza – Kalpa
– Passing through all the amazing places visited, we would again be back on Himalayan – Tibet region.
– Reach Kalpa back by evening.
– Overnight stay at kalpa.
Day 7 (230 km) : Kalpa – Shimla – Departure
– Today, we will drive back to Shimla. – After some leisure at Cafe, board the Volvo/AC Tempo Traveller/SUV back to Delhi.
Day 8 : Shimla to Delhi
– Reach Delhi back in the morning.

The time to visit Spiti Valley is from from late May till late September.

If you are going to spiti from shimla , you will get mobile internet network of almost all operators till recong peo, After that from Spellow to kaza , you will get mobile network of only BSNL .
How to Reach Spiti:
As you know Spiti, a beautiful and serene valley is situated in Himachal Pradesh surrounded by the mighty Himalayan Mountains, Spiti is. Although, it doesn’t have its own railway station or airport but it is still easily accessible by road. Here, you can check how to reach Spiti:
By Air
The nearest airport to Spiti region is the Kullu Airport that is located at Bhuntar, Kullu. This airport has daily flights from the major cities of the country. You can hire a cab or taxi to reach the Spiti Valley.
By Train
The closest railway stations to Spiti Valley are Joginder Nagar railway station and Shimla railway station. Although, these stations are lies on Gauge railway lines and not connected to major cities of India.
Nearest Major Railway Stations are Pathankot Jn. & Ambala Cantt from where you have to reach Manali or Shimla, then you can rent a taxi or can also board a bus going to Spiti.
By Road
Spiti Valley is well-connected by road to rest of India from months of May to November. You can take the Himachal Pradesh state transport buses and other private buses from Manali or hire jeeps and cars to reach Spiti. There are two alternative routes to get Spiti Valley by road which are mention below:
via Manali: Manali – Rohtang Pass – Gramphu – Chattru – Kunzum Pass – Kaza (Spiti Valley)
via Shimla: Kinnaur Valley as Shimla – Kinnaur – Nako – Sumdo (Spiti Valley) – Tabo – Kaza.
