About Kheerganga
Kheerganga in Parvati valley of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh offers a mystical journey into woods and is one of gifted abode for Natural Sulphur Hot water springs. The valley offers beautiful view of Parvati River and the Glacier of Lahaul Spiti.
The name Kheerganga came due to the milky waters of the river flowing in all its vastness and its streams flowing into Parvati valley from all sides of the mountain. Kheerganga is believed to be the spot where Lord Shiva meditated over 3,000 years ago.

Tosh is one of the India\’s best do nothing spots. The dreamy ambiance, pleasant weather and beautiful Tosh river sets the perfect setting of this place. Tosh is located at the far end of the Parvati Valley and does not attract too many tourists. Detailed weekend trip guide to Kasol from Delhi
Day 0: Overnight Volvo Bus from Delhi to KasolBoard on overnight Bus from Delhi to Kasol. It takes around 12-14 hours from Delhi to reach Kasol.
Day 1: Explore magnificient Kasol, Parvati Valley Reach Kasol in morning. Check into a homestay. After taking some rest, explore the local sightseeing and market of kasol. Spend the day besides Parvati river. Try some amazing Israeli food – shakshuka, bureka, lemon cake. Later in evening, sit, relax and have a nice hot and soulful meal around the bonfire.
Day 2: Explore tranquility of offbeat Tosh village Wake up to the beautiful morning. Get ready and have your breakfast. Explore the tosh village today. Tosh is famous for it being secluded from the crowd and amazing views. Today spend your night at the tosh campsite. Dance and sing the night away.
Day 3: Trek to Kheerganga Toady we will leave for Kheerganga trek. The thrilling Kheerganga trek begins from the small village of Barshaini, the point of confluence of the Parvati and Tosh Rivers, to start hiking. The trek to Kheerganga has two major stops- Nagthan around 4 kms from Barshaini and Rudranag around 8 km from Barshaini. On the trail, pass a few wooden bridges and some slippery sections. During this part of the Kheerganga trek from Barshaini, your eyes also feast on many picturesque waterfalls; remember to take pictures of every single one of these. Enjoy the feeling of perched at a place which is surrounded by mountains and greenery. Explore the area around you. Later, enjoy a good night 2019s sleep in your camp to gather energy for the next day.
Day 4: Descend. Leave back for Delhi Enjoy the morning in mountains and wake to some amazing views. Today we will descend back to Kasol. Don\’t forget to buy funky and bohemian souvenirs. Explore Manikaran on your way back and leave back for Delhi by evening.

Best Time to Visit Kasol –
The best time to visit Kasol for a trip is during the months from March to June. The weather is quite pleasant this time around making it easier for travelers to experience its wilderness.
Best time to travel to Kheerganga-
(April-June): This is a wonderful time to visit Kheerganga as all cafes will be in full swing and the weather will be pleasant. Trekking will be accessible and temperatures will be good for camping.

Summer Season in Kasol : The weather in Kasol remains pleasant throughout summer with temperatures not dropping below 15 degrees. Therefore, summer is the best time to visit Kasol. You can do a lot of treks but it gets a little crowded during summers. There are a number of overnight hippie parties and local festivals which you can be a part of. Best festivals in Kasol happen to be the Magical Festival, Parvati Peaking and Shiva Squad Festival.
Monsoon Season in Kasol : Monsoon witnesses moderate to heavy rainfall in Kullu district. So, the chaches of landslides and road blockages increases a lot. Therefore, Monsoons are not considered an ideal time to visit Kasol. However, it can be a real bliss at this time for nature lover as natural beauty of waterfalls and greenery are at its best at this time of the year. Also, the prices are the lowest during this season. Also, late September is the time when the people in Parvati Valley harvest their major crop for livelihood,2019.
Winter Season in Kasol Winter: October and November are good months to visit Kasol as the weather is pleasant during these months. You can stroll villages and spend time in riverside cafes. Kasol witnesses heavy snowfall during the months of December – February. Thus, the temperatures are chilling during these months and also many a times causes blocking of roads. If you plan to visit this place during these months, we recommend you to take some warm clothes as the temperature often dips below 0-degree Celsius.
How to Reach Kasol from Delhi
From Delhi take a bus towards Manali. You can get the bus for Manali either from ISBT or Majnu ka Tila in Delhi. De-board the bus at Bhuntar. All buses for Manali go through Bhuntar and have a stopage at Bhuntar. The Volvo charge is around 1200-1500- per person till Bhuntar.
