About Us

Yayavar is all about being a traveller, a vagabond, a nomad… It’s about experiencing things as they are meant to be…as nature intended them to be…We are currently a team cofounded by two brothers –Dr. Rishabh Gupta and Shubham Gupta, whose sole aim is to explore different places and promote responsible tourism…

We as a team, try to take groups to places not so heard of and are still not very commercialised apart from the regular tourist attractions. We believe that travelling doesn’t just means roaming from one place to another. Instead, Travelling is an art. Travelling is all about experiencing every single moment and documenting those memories. Making them an incentive for people to explore each and every corner of this big wide world, but doing so quietly, carefully and leaving the place just as we had found it.

We make extra efforts to make sure that our groups do not damage the ecology of a place by our presence, help local communities and respect their culture and privacy, ditch hotels for a while and take homestays, try our hand at camping, pitching our tents, cooking meals, observing the life style of the locals and there’s no way that one could go back unchanged…

Our founders believe that we should make way for the generations to come, so they can see all the reasons that kept us wandering…

If someday, you find us wandering somewhere in the Himalayas, we would love to meet you and the tea is on us..

Word from the brothers about how this all started…

Yayavar started as a dream project when we went for our first trek together to Dodital in year 2017. On that trek, we realized that we love travelling above all and shall do something about it more seriously…

We are born in a family that loves to travel. Since childhood, we have been going for vacations almost every year so the wanderlust was inculcated in us from the very beginning. Now being professionals, it is a hectic and stressful world out there…we needed something to detox and satisfy that travel bug, we had in us.

When after finishing our college we both again started sharing the same room after so long, that’s when we made it a pledge to travel for ourselves and eventually motivate others to travel and explore. We believe that much needs to be done to promote responsible tourism and to help the local communities of these places. That’s how we started this Yayavar Club. We are grateful to all the travellers who joined (and are joining) this community and are working for it to make this dream a success….

Dr. Rishabh Gupta

A doctor by profession and a wanderer by heart. My basic motivation behind travelling is watching all the beautiful landscape, viewing nature in its purest form. There is a strange satisfaction I get as soon as I get on the road with nothing but a destination in mind.

Er. Shubham Gupta

An Engineer by chance and a traveller by choice. My basic motivation is to encourage people to take up their dreams…be it travelling, photography, modelling, writing..just have your goals straight and follow them.
